I graduated as an Industrial Designer from the Pontifical Javierian University in Colombia. Following my studies, I worked at Ogilvy, a well-known global agency in advertising, marketing, and public relations. To celebrate my graduation, my parents treated me to a trip to New Zealand to improve my English. This trip unexpectedly influenced my personal and professional life significantly.

During my time in Auckland, I met incredible people from around the world. We explored New Zealand’s beautiful landscapes together, often backpacking. To fund our travels, I took on various jobs, including fruit picking—kiwi, grapes, and even persimmons, I also worked in hospitality.

Then, out of the blue, my adventure took an exciting turn when I joined a group of designers in establishing the PUKE-ARIKI museum in New Plymouth. This opportunity was a key turning point in my career, offering tremendous experience and growth.

Following my time in New Zealand, I journeyed to Florida to visit a friend, where I met my wonderful husband Craig. We have a beautiful family of 2 English labs, my beloved Strauss and crazy little Tchai and a magnificent horse named Stradivarius with whom I dedicate myself to training, dancing, and competing in dressage.

As a designer, I approach all my projects, regardless of the project size, with a clear and easy questionnaire to understand my client’s vision, the business objectives and what the user data is indicating. I’ve trained myself to make a quick scan test the moment I meet with my client, It’s all about asking the right questions and tuning into what my clients really want. Then, I sprinkle in a bit of magic and voila! We’ve got ourselves some killer, functional, elegant designs that hit the mark every time.
